Aluminium 2024 Sheets and Plates are primarily made from an aluminium alloy that includes copper (3.8–4.9%), magnesium (1.2–1.8%), and manganese (0.3–0.9%), along with small amounts of silicon, iron, and zinc. They have a density of 2.78 g/cm³ and deliver impressive mechanical strength, featuring a tensile strength of 470–520 MPa and a yield strength of about 325 MPa. These sheets and plates come in T3/T3511 tempers, which are solution heat-treated, stress-relieved, and naturally aged to strike the perfect balance between strength and toughness, while also offering excellent machinability.
