Aluminium 1100 Flanges consist of 99.0% pure aluminium, with trace amounts of copper (0.05–0.20%), manganese (0.05%), and silicon (0.10%). This specific composition ensures excellent corrosion resistance, high ductility, and good machinability. In the annealed (O) temper, these flanges demonstrate a tensile strength ranging from 90–140 MPa, which facilitates easy fabrication and welding. Although they are non-heat-treatable, Aluminium 1100 is highly workable, maintaining mechanical stability and a shiny surface finish that is suitable for both functional and decorative applications.
