The Aluminium 5052 Hex Bars are composed mainly of aluminium with magnesium (2.2–2.8%) as the principal alloying element, complemented by chromium (0.15–0.35%), silicon, iron, and manganese. This non-heat-treatable alloy gains its strength through cold working, offering excellent corrosion resistance, good fatigue strength, and moderate-to-high tensile strength. The typical mechanical properties include a tensile strength of 210–280 MPa, yield strength of 90–200 MPa, and high elongation depending on the temper.
